Burlington, ON (February 13, 2019) – The AMC (Association Management Company) Institute recently announced its 2019 Board of Directors at its annual meeting in Austin, Texas. The new board includes Constance Wrigley-Thomas, CAE, Owner & CEO of Burlington, Ontario-based Essentient Association Management & Events.

An accomplished association executive, Ms. Wrigley-Thomas has mastered a broad range of skill sets, knowledge and expertise related to the business of running association including event and conference management, government relations, marketing/communications, membership development, public relations, volunteer recruitment/management, governance, presentations and facilitation and data and financial management.

Ms. Wrigley-Thomas is an active volunteer with the Canadian Society of Association Executives Trillium Chapter and currently sits on their Board of Directors as Immediate Past Chair.  She attained the Certified Association Executive (CAE) designation in September 2007 and in 2009 was presented with the CSAE Trillium Chapter’s President’s Award in recognition of significant volunteer contribution and commitment in support of the Chapter.

In February 2011, Ms. Wrigley-Thomas was recognized by NAIOP – the Commercial Real Estate Development Association – for Outstanding Contribution by a Chapter Executive in recognition of her initiatives that took the Greater Toronto Chapter from 8th largest to 2nd largest out of 52 North American chapters. And in 2016 she was inducted into the Meetings + Incentive Travel Hall of Fame in recognition of her contributions to mentorship in the meetings industry.

In 2015, Ms. Wrigley-Thomas co-founded, with an AMC colleague, the AMC Forum, the forerunner to the Canadian Chapter of the AMC Institute and was on the original Board of Directors as Treasurer. She is currently Chair of the AMCI Canada.

Ms. Wrigley-Thomas currently resides in Burlington with her husband John Thomas but has lived in several Canadian provinces and counts Winnipeg as one of her favourite cities.
